The Mid-South Risk & Safety Story
Built for Real Operations, Not Corporate theory
I’ve built my career on delivering practical results that teams trust and rely on. With nearly 30 years of experience across healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, and construction, my career has been built on understanding how work actually gets done—and where risk truly exists.
I’ve worked in environments that are often fast-paced, high-risk, and traditionally male-dominated, where credibility is earned through knowledge, consistency, and the ability to deliver real results. Throughout my career, I’ve built strong working relationships at every level by focusing on practical solutions that support both safety and operations.
I’ve held roles in administration, human resources, engineering support, and health and safety, working directly with operations, leadership teams, and employees in the field. This experience gave me a clear perspective: safety programs only work when they align with real operations—not when they exist only on paper.
My approach was shaped long before my career began. In the 1960s, my father was seriously injured on the job and lost his left leg. He returned to work and remained with the same employer for another 30 years—never pursuing a lawsuit or disability, but committing himself to working harder and safer.
That example defined how I view safety: not as a requirement, but as a responsibility—to people, to families, and to the long-term success of a business.
In 2012, after nearly two decades of hands-on experience, I realized I had more to offer than just knowledge and stories—I had a responsibility to help others build safer workplaces. That realization led to the founding of Mid-South Risk & Safety Services.
Today, my work is focused on helping local businesses implement practical, sustainable safety solutions that protect their people, support their operations, and stand up under regulatory scrutiny—without unnecessary complexity or disruption.
